I hang glazed porcelain chains in the kiln so that they form catenary arches similar to Gaudi’s hanging models. The glaze melts and fuses the chain-links together into a rigid self-supporting structure that is then flipped right side up. My goal is to continue to expand the scale and complexity of this body of work while experimenting with a variety of colors and glaze phenomena.
