선, 색, 조형이라는 요소로 전통의 미와 현대의 조화를 표현하려는 작업을 시도하였다. 선은 부드럽고 여유 있는 곡선과 강하고 경직된 직선의 조화를 통해 정교하고 입체적인 효과를 얻고자 하였다. 색은 단순화하여 원재료의 기본적 특성이 잘 나타나도록 표현하였으며 전체적인 형태는 백자의 소박함과 단백함을 강조하기 위한 형태로 고려하였고 단순한 선을 나타내고자 하였다.
I have striven to express traditional beauty in harmony with modernity using such elements as line, color, and shape. By striking a balance between gentle, relaxed curved lines and powerful, rigid straight lines, I wanted to get exquisite and three-dimensional effect. I used a monochrome tone for the surface to reveal the essential characteristics of the raw material. The shape of this vessel focuses on the simplicity and elegance of Joseon white porcelain with a subdued silhouette.
