눈으로 보이는 이미지로 읽는 것을 이미지 리딩이라한다. 그림을 감상할 때 기존의 지식을 음미하는 대신 그림의 시적, 상상적 요소에 집중하는 이미지 리당을 통하여 인간의 회화적 분석 능력을 탐구할 수 있다.
Image reading does not dwell on existing knowledge, but instead focuses upon the poetic and imaginative elements of pictures, allowing us to investigate innate human ability in conducting subsequent pictorial analysis.
